Good Morning is conceived as a critical art book with a political message.
The core of this unpublicized book is represented by over 40 illustrations on about 45 pages that have been created over the last three years to critically "document" the deepening of the economic crisis. Since the text is integrated into the picture, the images are not accompanied by words, but can be understood in their own right by anyone. In order to convey its message, the book uses the black and white graphic language of barcodes – the aesthetics of printed matter found in mega-markets, on motorways, parking machines ... and can be placed into the global art movement known as "Barcode Art”
Alenka Sottler’s art book entitled Good Morning is a testimony to the debt crisis of unimagined proportions with no end in sight and is a unique artistic document of its time.
