Alenka Sottler about her work: The etching “Ex Libris for Slovenian Word” belongs to the cycle of drawings and graphics “EX LIBRIS”. It was created especially for the exhibition of 2010 the topic of which was Ex Libris in the gallery Kresija situated in Ljubljana. It was one of the four graphics that play with the most typical Slovenian symbols like Slovenian word, book, mountain climbing, skiing, harvester, etc. The etching contains randomly selected words from the Niko Grafenauer’s poetry.
