Alenka Sottler about her work: This is a beautiful archival print of cover illustration from the picture book CINDERELLA, published by the Mladinska knjiga publishing house in 2006. It was also published in Korea and China. The book received the Golden Apple at the Biennial of Illustrations (Bratislava, 2007), the First Prize for Illustrations at the 6th Slovenian Biennial of Illustration and the Award for the most beautiful Slovene book at the Slovenian book Fair.
The illustrations from this book were exhibited in Italy, Japan, Slovakia and elsewhere. The original illustrations were sold to the Museum of Children's Illustrations in Sentrupert (Slovenia). The cover illustration form the Slovene edition was included in Russ Kick's new book The Graphic Canon of Children's Literature in published by Seven Stories Press 2014 in New York.
